👍👍👍 Nice video with a lot of common sense detail.
Great practical advice, thank you 🙏
Hi Mike I made these and used Naga chilli pepper and some jelly crystals to thicken and the carp absolutely love it. Tight lines m8
very good like and subbed
Fishing this place in next month any tips anyone please be appreciated 👍👍👍
Thanks nice and simple.
You're welcome!
A good tip for me is look at second hand i picked up a decent trakker bivvy and a decent bed chair at almost half price . There are some tackle tarts who upgrade for fun . Im poor so always on the look for a bargain . Clothing and sleep gear im ok with because my other hobby is camping .
I know you made this video a year ago but as someone not far off going fishing for the first time I enjoyed the video. Good points and I like your tone :) thanks
Glad you enjoyed it mate thank you!
Anyone able to tell me how meny wraps to the edge of the gravel bars?
So they lie in their speccs, thats NOT COB led technology. Dissapointing
Cheers pal
Quality vid I was fishing the oak lake at lavender yesterday (it has now been turned into a specimen lake) but some fish from station were stocked into it and yesterday I caught the same fish as you did in this video , keep up the good work
Oh wow thats amazing! Hope you catch a few more soon mate!!
good lad mike nice to see you back mate
Thanks mate, good to be back finally and will be back out soon with a bend in the rod!
How long does it keep mate?
It lasts months mate to be honest, can't say I've actually got as far as seeing any go off of any kind as it was used before that point.
@@Mike33 awesome cheers bud! 😎
Any time mate. Have a play with flavour levels etc, find what works for you and good luck!!
No gravy with the pie. 😱😱
It was full of gravy in fairness, couldn't believe how full it was but yes an extra portion will go down nicely next time!
Great to be back everyone. First vlog of 2022, I hope you enjoy and hopefully the lake maps/insight helps on your future visit!
Can this be used in solid bags?
Hi Tommy, yes this would be fine as it's PVA friendly 🙂
Great video
Thank you very much Hayden really appreciate it 😊
Anyone know if drain dye would work?
Hi Joe, the Fluorescein mentioned is used for various things like drains, eyes etc so should be fine but there are some comments with suggestions on where to find it alongside Amazon.
If you are going to use a fair amount of this then go to somewhere that supplies DIY vaping liquids. The base in that is also VG and can be got for a lot less and in 1L or 5L tubs. The bottles can also be got from the same places in 5/10 Packs for cheap. Boots also do 200ml of unflavoured VG if you get stuck.
Absolutely, shop around there are multiple online suppliers you can get it from extremely cheap.
Hi sorry what is the vg ?
Vegetable glycerin mate.
Can you drive up to pegs to drop gear off ?
Hi mate thanks for your comment. Pretty much mate yes for a couple of pegs, the track runs alongside the lake so it should be easy enough to just unload but it's not the widest in places so expect some pegs where you won't be able to park behind. The peg I was on even with the hill I could park immediately behind and leave enough space, and then walk it to the peg without too much trouble. Good luck!
Great video Mike , where can I buy the fluorescein sachets ?
Thank you Gaz, if i recall i got mine from toolstation but i think it can be found in a number of places now, even Amazon do it i think. Have aplay with amounts as its quite powerful stuff so dont need too much and the same with the flavourings, depending on their concentration different amounts will be needed. I have since removed flour from mine, i quite like the consistancy as it is. Good luck for the rest this coming campaign!
@@Mike33 cheers Mike , tool station was a good shout .., you get a lot more for your money . It was the the missing ingredient to the goo that just tops it off so thanks for replying so quick
any time at all mate good luck!!
Very useful review, thanks dude
You're very welcome mate, still love these to this day!
Hi Mike, nice video. Have you ever added a oil based product to your glug? Such as Chilli or Hemp Oil? If so does it mix ok with the Glycerine?
Hi Andy sorry for the delay in coming back mate I've been manic at work! I haven't to be honest mate but what I found is the more liquid you add the more watery it becomes. Now I actually don't mind this as it will still have the effect in colour etc but give it a go mate in a small quantity and see how it goes!
Great video but it's probably better to keep your bivy ventilated than isolated lol. Seriously though a great tip for using gas bivy heaters is to get a little carbon monoxide detector to put in your bivy, you can't be too careful.
Haha cheers Ben and yes I knew I would get picked up for the wrong word the millisecond after I said it but really couldn't cope with recording that segment again 😂
hello.mate you had much fishing time on middle pool. im goin for my first 48hour outing and goin there. u any tips thanks
Hi John, I've been more times than I can remember. You will find a few other middle pool videos on the channel. Keep it simple mate, don't go overboard on bait and leave any spombs firmly at home. 15mm boilies, keep the rig simple and small PVA or mesh bags. Anything else just ask.
@@Mike33 thanks for the reply mate. isit a good margin water? also from experience and the time of the year would you be looking at the deeper end of the lake and tips on pegs etc thanks
Definitely be at the deeper end now mate. Was there last week with a friend and in total had 18 fish in 48 hours using the tactics mentioned. Margin wise I would say not so much, the Cray's can be pests and that's where they all typically hang out. You want to be half way out and find the old river bed that runs through the middle of the lake.
@@Mike33 might be abit of a daft question but ive only just started with the carp fishing is the old river bed hard to find or can it be located pretty easy appriciate your help mate thanks
It's quite easy mate, about half way out and if you know how to feel the lead down it will help but if not then cast until the lead doesn't plug into the clay. It's quite hard clay anyway but you will tell the difference when you find it.
Sometimes I feel the bait floss gives the hookbait that little bit more movement compared To the screws
Fair point that Alex. Wonder if it makes any difference to the hookhold etc🤔...can't say I've noticed any difference personally but interesting none the less.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching Bistro!
Really happy now I’ve only seen videos where they boil the glycerin this is much easier. Making my own banana syrup in jars just for this using xlytol instead of sugar works just as good helping fermentation
What pellets are they please?
Hi Richard, thank you for watching. Sadly it was with a company called HydraBaits that has sadly gone out of business.
@@Mike33 Oh, thats a shame, they look great! Nice to watch a local guy doing all the lakes i want to go to. Thanks for the great content.
@@richardlatham4062 thank you very much mate and I will have more coming soon. Sadly some personal issues have got in the way the last couple of months that have derailed my plans but back soon. Any other local lakes you would like to see do let me know 🙂
Hi great video we’re doing ya buy the goo bottles ? Thanks mark
Hi mate, I've put a direct link in the description for you but I got mine from Amazon.
Good informative vid Mike, Can you mix flavours at all? Like different fruit flavours together or different fishmeal types? Cheers
Hi Martin, absolutely mix and switch as much as you wish when it comes to any liquids and powders. You may just stumble on a winning formula for your chosen lake!
@@Mike33 excellent thank you, I’m going in a few weeks so that’s exactly what I’ll do. Much appreciated Mike All the best mate 👍
Hello, do i need yellow food color if i put flourescent to get green flouro color,
Hi Daniel, to be honest you don't strictly even need colouring as the Green Fluro affect is simply caused but he fluorescein alone.
@@Mike33 I thought correctly, thank you, and nice videos
Hiya Mike Really usefull and helpull Video here. One question: Does the amounts you used here fill up one of those bottles or do you need to add more to fill it up? Thank you again, Very helpfull
Also for storage for later use, should it be stored in the fridge or just room temp?
Hi mate, you're very welcome. The amount I used filled one of those bottles, if anything there was ever so slightly more left over in the jug after filling. As time has gone on my additional advice is to play with flavour levels as well. Depending on how heavily concentrated your flavour is will dictate how much is needed. Some may need hardly anything and others need more. Read the bottle instructions for whatever you use and experiment, like any bait or addictive different things work in different places 😀. Tight Lines and thanks for watching!!
I keep it stored somewhere dark and cool i.e. Shed outside but that's more in case anything was to ever find its way out, I can avoid a divorce then. Don't see a need for a fridge storage personally
Will it ever go mouldy
Never had one go off yet!
Does cudmore do 24 hour sessions ?
Hi John, yes on their main specimen lakes they offer as long as you want pretty much. Can book in 24 hour blocks.
Don’t catch on glugged baits only ever catch on raw straight out the bag bollies, thanks for all the other tips though 👍
oh that's interesting Millwall, for me glugged baits just don't fail BUT the quality of baits these days mean even out the bag they will still catch plenty. In certain waters and circumstances glugged baits can give a big edge. Thanks ever so much for watching I am glad you enjoyed it mate!!
@MikesCarpingAdventures can you just use n buytric acid instead of fluorescein and still give the goo a green glow. Also, great vid.
Thank you very much Lewis, the green aspect is a result of the fluorescein so if you remove this it will be just a liquid to pump into bags/sticks/cover baits etc. This isn't a bad thing at all and I actually have another video on the channel which you will be interested in on how to super boost your boilies in a different way which i think is a great edge, but if you do need that green aspect then that fluorescein would be needed.
@@Mike33 do you mind if I do a video on my channel. Lewis Fishing
of course not mate no problems, maybe you can make it even better than I did because if I could go back and change things a little I think I would 🤣. I would advise to maybe come at it from a different angle or something fresh if you do one though so that it's not exactly the same, put your spin on it!
Ye I will thanks
I done 24hours in a place called Amazon woods near polegate,Eastbourne. I hooked 27 fish and a cat at 4am. All carp over 15lbs,cat was 26lbs. My arm the morning after we come back omg. Funny thing is I went with a mate who was joined. Same double swim using the same bait, rigs and he hooked 5 🤷♂️ I was lucky.
Sounds to me like a brilliant session that! So very rare but you could say it wasn't just down to luck but maybe finer details or rig adjustment or even baiting tactics that meant you performed better 🤷♂️. That's just it with fishing I guess we never really know but a good rig always give you a chance.
Very interesting. Brilliant video.
Many thanks mate glad you enjoyed it! Do check out the super boost boilie video if you get chance. For me it's a must do on sessions these days to stand out.
if you dont beat this pb in a few weeks time when i am with you then im going to beat you with my landing net handle... LETS GET THIS 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Haha funny enough it isn't my PB but certainly the most beautiful fish ever! Can only do our best and hope it's enough!!
Hey Mike... is it normal for the fluorescein to settle at the bottom of the bottle I stirred it well but still get a build up
Hi Andy. Yes mate I have the same but when I give it a shake before use it always does exactly as I want without any issues.
@@Mike33 nice one mate thankyou
Any time Andy. Have a play with amounts you put in too. I think some people do sometimes go overboard with how much to put in, it's quite powerful stuff.
@@Mike33 yes mate I put ¼ of a tea spoon but that does look a lot so I will half that when I make another bottle....
Spot on buy what you can afford do not go for posing rights! I still have a split cane rod I use as my second rod. I would say a decent reel is my biggest asset.
Absolutely Phillip, I have a set of Shimano 10000 baitrunners which I love. Think I paid £50 each and I wouldn't swap them for anything as they do everything I need them to do!
Great advice! Especially on the Carp Tax piece Mike. Well presented again mate! 👌👍
Thank you Paul really appreciate it. Yes love protecting those pennies!!
Belter mate 🔥🔥 @PVAPLUG
Thanks very much for watching Conor, always a pleasure and thank you for your continued support!!
Well done Mike, another good video to the tally
Thanks Tricky, appreciate your time watching mate and just hope it helps others to enjoy their fishing and land a few new PBs!
Looks like heaven
Great place mate, not an easy one but some belters in there that's for sure!
Just making my 1st... gone for pineapple and banana cream flavour.. smells lush... oozes the green however my corn flour was white and not yellow like yours but it works in water so cant wait try it out on 27th
ooooo sounds good enough to eat nevermind the carp 😜! Thank you for watching!
@@Mike33 do u have a question n answer page 🤔
I don't right now Andy but you're always welcome to drop me a message on Instagram or Twitter if you are on there and I am happy to help. Otherwise always welcome to leave a comment on a video and I will my best to come back to you ASAP.
No worries at all Andy, yes the powder in the video wasn't ideal, In most cases I have removed the flour as well as i like it to be runnier these days (dont think consiustantcy makes a difference really just preference) but if you use the flour maybe just keep an eye on it and make sure its not clumping at the bottom which can occur ive found with certain ones, might need a stir every now and then OR simply make up a small session batch the night before.
He used corn meal not flour
Looking forward to this one!
Hope you like it!
